STORYBOARDS - It's been said there are 3 scripts: The one you write, the one you shoot, and the one you edit. The same can probably be said in comparing storyboards to your final product. Storyboards can be an important tool for many filmmakers, as it has the ability to demonstrate a preconceived vision that a director may have so that the crew best understands his or her goals.

As a professional graphic artist and animator for many years, JIM CLIFFE has relied on storyboards for most projects that he's personally overseen which he also illustrates himself.

There were many discussions with the creative team throughout the pre-production process, and they were able to use the boards to find out what shots would be feasible, (considering logistics and so on). Once they came to an agreement, communication was established with TM's DP, JIRI BAKALA - bringing his photography talents forth.

The following buttons are a few samples from some of the 200+ illustrated shots.
