For Immediate Release: July 21, 2005: Local Short Film Wins in San Diego - San Diego, CA Tomorrow’s Memoir, a locally-produced short film took home the award for Best Comics-Oriented Film Sunday at the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI:IFF). Written, directed and produced by Jim Cliffe of Kelowna and produced by Kulchera Matson (Ill Fated) of Summerland, Tomorrow’s Memoir is a story of an elderly gentleman jaded by a world that has deceived him. Celebrating independent film, the CCI:IFF featured a slate of 59 films this year with an accenton genre-related entries. Judges included Mark Altman, writer/producer of the award-winning feature film Free Enterprise, and Scott Zakarin the producer of Comic Book: The Movie, and driving force behind Los Angeles-based Creative Light Entertainment.
